It’s all about the entertainment!

Today I was watching the food network, my favorite lazy sunday activity.  They were showing “chefographies,” so I got to watch how two of my favorite chef’s, Ina Garten and Giada DeLaurentis,  timelines in history.

It was amazing to see how Ina didn’t know anything about cooking, but she learned everything through experience.  She learned by hosting weekly dinner parties and experimented with what worked and what didn’t.  She quickly learned what made people happy, it wasn’t just the food, because the food was a vehicle for sharing stories and having a good time.

Giada, on the other hand, was in a very famous family (her grandfather won an Oscar lifetime achievement award for his acting), but cooking is what they always did together.  Growing up she was taught her family’s recipes, but as she show took off she learned to make them her own way.

Neither Ina or Giada wanted to be on tv, they just loved what they did, and this grew into great tv personalities.  By watching these two chefs, you too want to make these dishes and share them with your own family and friends.  Mastering cooking is really just the begin, because entertaining is really what’s important.
